About This South of Flagstaff Site

My name is Fred Doyle and I live in a rural community south of Flagstaff, Arizona. I find that when I mention Arizona, people automatically think of cactus and cows. Arizona certainly has plenty of both... but that's not us.

We live high in the pine forested mountains of north-central Arizona, between Sedona's red rock country and the Grand Canyon. We're more into computers and convertibles around here.

I should also tell you that I now have others who contribute to this website. This gives us better coverage from the Verde Valley to "The Rez." The Navajo Nation dominates the northeastern corner of Arizona. Reservation residents and locals refer to it simply as The Rez.

Flagstaff is home to Northern Arizona University and good skiing when there's snow. Flagstaff and Sedona are also great little tourist towns, with lots to do and see.

But enough about Flagstaff for now, I wanted to tell you about this South of Flagstaff site. Ready?

In the beginning... no, before the beginning, I saw a need for local news and information about the South of Flagstaff communities, and thought the internet was the right vehicle to deliver the information. We've since found that the Federal Government issues regulations, gives away tax money, and takes other actions on an almost daily basis, that impacts the South of Flagstaff communities,
