How
Fuel Treatments Saved Homes from the Wallow Fire
The Forest Service has prepared and published a
Rapid Report entitled "Fuel Treatment and Effectiveness Assessment"
of the recent Wallow Fire.
One major conclusion that can be drawn from the
report is that forest thinning projects and prescribed burns can help wildlands
firefighters save our homes and indeed, entire communities.
