• Never update programs from an email. Legitimate vendors will direct you to their website
• Never give personal or account data in an email. If a request is legitimate, they'll direct you to their website.
• Give sensitive data only on a secure site. Look for the https:// (not http:// without the "s" for Secure) at the beginning of the address line, and the locked lock symbol at the bottom of your screen.

Presentation software to build slide shows for public speaking, and again for "thinking on paper."

I happen to use the Microsoft Office products as several of my work from home job tools - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, but there are other good ones out there.
